GROUND ONE SIX offers restoration and upholstery service, specialising in 20th century designs. We offer full consultation: from concept, to design ideas, to project realisation, all to a wide variety of clients. Our clients range from furniture or interior designers and businesses, to collectors and individuals.

GROUND ONE SIX thinks Green. Old furniture frames are usually made from wood, unlike the modern late-20th- and 21st- century high street designs that are made from low cost materials, such as chipboard. Our aim is to try and keep the original condition of an item as much as possible, although there are occasions that these items are in need of restoration or upholstery. Restoring one of these old designs and bringing it back to life is an exciting experience!

GROUND ONE SIX specializes in Modern Style upholstery, which includes serpentine springs, elastic webs, rubber foam and synthetic dacron, as well as materials that are normally used in Traditional Style upholstery such as wool, hessian and cotton felt. We aim to mix Traditional and Modern materials with an extensive range of upholstery fabrics for a more responsible and aesthetically pleasing result. Restoration service is also in the manner of Modern Style in order to fit your modern or vintage interiors, stripping, oiling and waxing.
